Turkish side Trabzonspor are set to buy Kolo Toure from Liverpool, the deal is expected to be a free transfer. The 33 year old signed for Liverpool last year and his original contract was set for two years.
A great start to the season saw Toure keep three clean sheets in a row, establishing himself as a first choice defender. However, age caught up to him as injuries and silly mistakes crept into his game.
Toure only played once in Liverpool's last 11 games of the Premier League last season and consequentially, went from being first choice to fourth choice in a matter of months. Should Liverpool sign Dejan Lovren, Toure will be demoted to fifth choice.
Already, Toure has rejected a move to Qatari club Al Gharafa, though with Trabzonspor offering more competitive football, it is expected Toure will sign with them.
