Didier Drogba has re-joined Chelsea on a one year deal after becoming a free agent from Galatasaray. Drogba's first stint with the club saw him amass 342 appearances, scoring 157 goals - many of them in important finals. Altogether, Drogba won 10 trophies during an 8 year spell between 2004-2012.
Upon re-signing the club that voted him the greatest player in their history, Drogba told the official Chelsea website why he could not pass up the opportunity to re-join Chelsea.
"It was an easy decision - I couldn't turn down the opportunity to work with Jose again."
He said: "Everyone knows the special relationship I have with this club and it has always felt like home to me.
"My desire to win is still the same and I look forward to the opportunity to help this team. I am excited for this next chapter of my career."
