On loan Man Utd midfielder Anderson has decided to have the last word on his (soon to be former) club Manchester United by claiming several players are on the verge of leaving.
In a press conference for his loan club Fiorentina, Anderson was quoted as saying:
" I'm sure that lots of players want out, especially people like myself and Nani who have been in Manchester for seven or eight years."
"Manchester United is a huge club, a club that does everything for its players but sometimes a footballer wants to leave just to experience a different way to play football, to learn something as well."
The press conference will leave a bitter taste in the mouths of Man Utd fans, of whom many felt Anderson lazily wasted away his potential whilst at United and never truly committed himself.
However, you cannot help but feel as though there is truth behind what he is saying. Nani has only started five of United's 24 games this season and although he signed a new five year deal recently, it is more than likely that was done to keep Nani's price on the market inflated.
Next to Nani, Shinji Kagawa's place has been made untenable after the mega signing of Juan Mata. Kagawa is now behind Mata, Rooney, Januzaj, Valencia and Ashley Young in the pecking order. With a Dortmund angling for a move for Kagawa in the summer, Kagawa knows he has a trusted where he will be loved pursuing him and that should be enough to make him jump ship.
Elsewhere, David Moyes has made it known he is looking for a few center backs. With the likes of Evra's, Ferdinand's and Vidic's contracts coming to its expiration date and little being done to get them renewed, there is every possibility the three Man Utd legends will be gone by the summer. Moyes has already shown he has no trouble showing respected figures the door with Sir Alex Ferguson's staff, and I do not doubt he will do it again.
Finally, there are massive question marks over the likes of Tom Cleverley and Javier Hernandez. If Man Utd manage to buy the central midfielders they need in summer, Cleverley could be out of the team. As for Hernandez, he is already fourth choice striker. He has no shortage of teams after him and after another year of failing to nail down a starting place, this could be the season Hernandez decides enough is enough.
