Numerous sources have reported that Wilfried Zaha had furiously walked out of United's Carrington training ground on Thursday after David Moyes had pulled Zaha out of the loan market.
With Zaha failing to start a league game all season and only have two Premier League substitute appearances lasting a grand total of 28 minutes, if anyone at Manchester United needed game time, it was Zaha.
However, as the sources have revealed, with Nani and Ashley Young taking longer than expected to get fully fit, Moyes felt Zaha was needed at United to restore numbers on the bench.
Given Zaha's form for Crystal Palace had the whole nation on alert, it is no surprise to find out Cardiff, Newcastle United and West Bromwich Albion were not deterred by Zaha's current malaise on the Man Utd bench.
As Man Utd were about to negotiate with the aforementioned clubs, Moyes interfered and understandably Zaha who was supposedly desperate for a loan move let Moyes know under no uncertain terms how he felt.
With the transfer window half way towards ending and United unlikely to sell anyone ahead of Zaha in the pecking order, it appears Zaha has had a pivotal season in terms of development wasted. At the age of 21 this is something that cannot go on for much longer if Zaha is to fulfill his potential.
