Stoke City have a great big game record in the Premier League this season; they have defeated Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal, as well as driving Liverpool and Manchester United close in narrow, undeserved defeats.
United have been on a good run of form themselves, going 9 unbeaten. They also have a positive record against Stoke, though judging from their away performances all season (only two wins), they will have to be at their best to get a victory today.

90+2 min: Manchester United waste their last opportunity and Michael Oliver blows for the full time whistle. The draw moves Stoke into the top half for the time being at least, while Man Utd move four points clear of Southampton and will stay 3rd regardless of what happens today.
90th min: Diouf is one-on-one and slides the ball over to Assaidi who marches into the box and shoots straight at de Gea.
86th min: Diouf has been in so many promising positions and has failed to deliver on any. A long ball gets him onto the ball on the left side of the box, he stands the ball up and tries to pass through a non-existent gap.
80th min: Marko Arnautovic comes off to a round of applause as Oussama Assaidi replaces him.
78th min: A cross comes in from Januzaj and van Persie matches the delivery with superb movement, though his shot is rather wayward. It would be typical of United to win a game they haven't deserved to in this manner.
76th min: After three corners in a row, de Gea finally plucks one out the sky. United are really under the cosh from Stoke's aerial bombardment.
74th min: Ashley Young has injured his hamstring and Rafael replaces him. That is the last change United can make.
70th min: CLOSE! Arnautovic crosses for Crouch who smacks the post with a looping header - United scramble the ball out of danger.
65th min: From the following corner Stoke have a legitimate call for handball ignored when the ball clearly hits Smalling's outstretched hand. Diouf blasts over from the rebound and then joins in the circling of the referee.
64th min: Walters springs up on the right and puts in a cross. Crouch was in for a tap-in until Phil Jones dove in a cleared the ball for a corner.
63rd min: Adnan Januzaj and Ander Herrera comes on for Luke Shaw and Radamel Falcao. There is a look of bemusement written on Falcao's face who has quite clearly been the better striker between himself and van Persie.
57th min: van Persie puts a free kick that goes deep into the Stoke area. We can only presume Peter Crouch gets a call to move out the way as he ducks and Begovic fists the ball out of danger.
53rd min: This game has descended into an utter farce; Mata's cross field pass going out to touch a prime example.

45+1 min: Referee blows for the end of the 1st half as Stoke and Manchester United head into the tunnel level at 1-1.
45th min: de Gea's poor goal kick is fired straight to N'zonzi, although the leggy midfielder fails to make the most of it.
44th min: Michael Carrick chips the ball into Falcao's path but the blustery wind takes it out of his reach.
36th min: United have struggled to get momentum developing their attacks and Wayne Rooney is the latest to be guilty of bad play. United's defence passed for an age between each other whilst Mata was wildly gesticulating. Rooney received the ball deep in midfield and managed to pass the ball out for a goal kick when Mata was free a few yards away.
32nd min: Marko Arnautovic puts in a cross on the left flank that causes the United defence a whole heap of trouble. Evans avoided a touch to prevent scoring an own goal and Shaw bundled the ball over the bar as he was under pressure. Good thing he did as de Gea was in no man's land.
26th min: GOAL! At long last a United corner comes good - perhaps because Juan Mata didn't take it. Rooney whipped in a flat cross from the left and Falcao made a nuisance of himself for a poacher's finish.
18th min: Stoke City should have doubled their lead. A long punt leaves Evans one-on-one with Diouf; Evans should have cleared immediately but he waits for the bounce, allowing Diouf to roast him for pace. One-on-one just de Gea to beat, Diouf loses composure and blasted it well wide of the target.
17th min: Wayne Rooney sizes up a free kick and then ruins the big build up with a shot only worthy for rugby.
16th min: After N'Zonzi's brilliant interception, Stoke overplay it and Shawcross nearly loses the ball to van Persie centre of the goal.
12th min: For the second time in a row, Mata takes a corner and Begovic picks it out the air.
8th min: United can barely get goal side and when they finally do, Mata wastes the corner by kicking it straight to Begovic's hands.
2nd min: GOAL! Unbelievable start for Stoke City as they lead 1-0. Corner taken from the right hand side went deep into Man Utd's area. Peter Crouch reacted first and headed the ball back goal side where Shawcross turned expertly to head the ball into the net. Terrible start from United who have it all to do now.
