The Premier League has released news confirming Manchester United left back Patrice Evra has signed a new deal with the club.
For a long time it was assumed Evra would go the way of Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic, leaving on a bosman transfer as Man Utd looked to freshen up a stale looking side.
Earlier in the month Southampton's Luke Shaw was the subject of a £27 million bid by Manchester United. Furthermore, Monaco and Juventus - both of whom are in the Champions League for next season, unlike United who are not in Europe - were reported to be interested in the Frenchman.
Nonetheless, Evra has signed a 1 year extension that will keep him at Old Trafford until 2015 at the very least.
