What a difference a year makes. At this stage last season, Liverpool were flying high whilst Bournemouth had only two wins in 13. In their FA Cup encounter last season, the famed SAS broke down a stubborn Bournemouth – Sturridge netting the winner. Neither will be available to an under pressure Brendan Rodgers today; Bournemouth, hunting promotion to the Premier League, will fancy their chances.
Team sheets below:

90+4 min: Mark Clattenburg has blown for the end of the game and Liverpool have ran out 3-1. As for the other Capital One Cup game, Tottenham ran out 4-0 victors. With Chelsea and Sheffield United winning their respective matches yesterday, we have all four semi finalists.
89th min: Steven Gerrard comes off for Fabio Borini - it's been a while since we've seen him on the pitch.
88th min Since Coutinho came off Liverpool have really closed out the game. Baily Cargill's tame header the first either side has had for a while.
82nd min: Liverpool have a corner that fall to Gerrard on the edge of the box. However, as he tried to control the ball it brushed his hand. Handball is given and the attack ends.
81st min: Brett Pitman comes on in place of Eunan O'Kane.
74th min: Emre Can replaces Philippe Coutinho.
Harry Kane comes off for Roberto Soldado and he nets Tottenham's fourth of the evening. Can't go wrong for Spurs, can it?
69th min: OOOHHH! Matt Richie strikes the bar from the left hand side and on his second effort flashes it across the goal. Bournemouth are knocking at the door but luck is firmly on Liverpool's side - for now.
67th min: Raheem Sterling should have had his hat-trick and put the game beyond doubt. Lallana's flick put him in on goal but the youngster contrived to miss from 6 yards.
64th min: Liverpool wish they could say the same, however. Since going 3-0 they have been dominated. Ryan Fraser really should have made it two as a his header flashes wide of the target and no one is on hand to tap it in.
Harry Kane scores Tottenham's third goal and that should put the result beyond doubt.
56th min: GOAL! Dan Gosling puts Bournemouth back with a shout. Brad Jones should really save it but lets the ball squirm underneath him. Liverpool's goalkeeping woes continue.
55th min: Lallana passes to Coutinho but his shot from outside the box misses the target.
53rd min: Lazar Markovic saunters through the middle and is spoilt for choice. He picks the wrong one as Gerrard struggles to keep up and the ball eventually runs out for a corner after a blocked shot. Sterling is left fuming and for good reason - he was in acres of space!
50th min: GOAL! A long ball from Adam Lallana catches out an eager Bournemouth defence and Sterling punishes them for his second of the game.
47th min: Coutinho's shot is blocked after an encouraging run into the box from the right-centre of the pitch.
Tottenham are now two-nil up; Nacer Chadli with the goal. Newcastle now have a mountain to climb.
45th min: The second half has begun and Dejan Lovren has not come out for the second half, he has been taken off for Mamadou Sakho.
Mark Clattenburg blows for the first half which sees Liverpool winning 2-0. Whilst we wait for the second half to begin, here are stats from the 1st half:
Bournemouth 38% - 62% Liverpool
Bournemouth 4 - 10 Liverpool

Bournemouth 0 - 4 Liverpool
Bournemouth 2 - 2 Liverpool

45th min: Adam Smith is brought down by Lallana and Bournemouth are awarded a free kick. Stanislas whips one in for his teammates and it runs out for a corner.
40th min: Raheem Sterling turns and uses his lightning speed to good use. Storming into the box, he has one touch too many and Boruc gobbled it up.
39th min: Clever play from Bournemouth leads to Stanislas committing players and winning a corner on the left. The resulting corner led to a thunder of a shot by Dan Gosling blocked by Steven Gerrard. Replies showed it was flying into the net.
28th min: Liverpool really are their worst enemies aren't they? Poor defending on the right leads to Simon Francis putting it on a plate for Yann Kermorgant. Luckily for Liverpool, Bournemouth are their worst enemies today too; Kermorgant blasted over from 6 yards. It should be 2-2, instead it is 2-0.
26th min: GOAL! Liverpool are going through the gears now. Lazar Markovic passes to Coutinho on the left flank and the diminutive playmaker makes in roads inside box, letting off a shot that rebounds back to Markovic who is now on the centre of the D and finishes cleanly. That's his first in a Liverpool shirt.
The goal was also the first goal an opposition has scored against Bournemouth this season in the Capital One Cup.
I mentioned Liverpool had a lot of possession leading up to the goal, well, they recorded 54 passes' in the process. Maybe 3-4-3 is the way forward for Liverpool? They certainly looked better against Manchester United, save for poor finishing and defending.
19th min: GOAL! After a tonne of patient possession, Liverpool have taken the lead. Bournemouth's Adam Smith has had a good game but it was his mistake in not marking Jordan Henderson that led to the goal. Free on the edge of box, Henderson headed the ball across goal and Raheem Sterling was on hand for a tap in.
We have a goal in the second Capital One Cup tie today. Tottenham have gone 1 up courtesy of a Bentaleb goal. Surely not too long before we see a goal in this enthralling match? Speak of the devil, GOAL!
13 minutes gone and Liverpool have had 64% of possession compared to Bournemouth's 34%. It has been an even match but the Championship side have had the better chance and should be one up.
11th min: After a series of shimmies, Philippe Coutinho successfully fakes onto his right and lets off a shot that is blocked. It rebounds to Lucas who lets off a ferocious shot, although like Coutinho's, it is blocked.
7th min: From the resulting corner Steven Gerrard puts every last ounce of power into shot, unfortunately it hit a crowd of players.
6th min: Better from Liverpool. Raheem Sterling and Philippe Coutinho work out a chance for local lad Adam Lallana, his 20 yard forcing Artur Boruc into a great save.
3rd min: Bournemouth are getting a lot of joy down Liverpool's right hand side. Dan Gosling whipped in a cross for Callum Wilson who skips past Skrtel, puts Dejan Lovren on the floor and with a gaping goal 6 yards away, he managed to somehow miss. They won't get better chances than that.
2nd min: Adam Smith dribbling from the left evaded a challenge from Steven Gerrard via a nutmeg. Buoyed by his feat he smacked one from outside the area, although Martin Skrtel blocked it.
