West Ham come into this match with an injury crisis on their hands. Although that has been the case for much of the season so far, it mainly troubled their attack and not their defence. Winston Reid has been the glue to the defence that has kept six clean sheets.
For this reason Juan Mata becomes really important to Chelsea. For the past two seasons Mata has been the Juan to pull Chelsea out of any troubles and I predict if he plays (knowing Mourinho you never know), he will be the most likely to create an opening. Awesome puns aside, I have chosen Mata not for his form this year, but because of Rat's injury. The only other left back West Ham have is George McCartney and he has yet to play a game this season. If Mata can regain his form it will go a long way to deciding this match. Mata is the only world class attacker Chelsea have (queue of Hazard fans complaining), as you can see from the stats below, his lack of form has hit Chelsea in away games. If he does not turn up Chelsea will struggle to score.
