West Brom have lost the least amount of games (10) out of anyone in the bottom half, yet as they welcome Chelsea to the Hawthorne's they are 18th in the table.
They may not lose many, but they do not win many either. The four victories they have to their name so far is the least out of anyone in the Premier League. Of course this means they have drawn 11 games - the most in the league and this is why they are.
As West Brom have no real goalscorer - Berahino has the most with just four and Shane Long is second with three goals - though he is no longer an Albion player.
Yet the stats say they have scored the most out of all the bottom clubs (29). Whilst true, this hides a vital statistic: whenever West Brom have scored two or more goals in a match, they have won three times, drawn three times and lost twice. The mixed results suggests whenever West Brom do score goals, it is due to overloading the attack, causing negligence at the back - something inferred by the fact they have the fifth worst defence in the league.
Chelsea are a very strong team that do not make many mistakes; therefore, if West Brom are to score it will either be through Chelsea breaking a habit (which is more than plausible seeing that Terry is out today) or by West Brom over-committing men forward.
On Chelsea's part, they have the most in form player in the Premier League at the moment in Eden Hazard. West Brom are weak in wide areas and I suspect he will do the damage there. With players like Oscar, Matic and Ramires, Chelsea should have enough energy and movement to disrupt West Brom's stubborn defensive midfield and hit the core of a slow center back pairing.
